Health Traditions is about presenting first class practical courses and workshops. Their cupping and gua sha workshops were 'World Firsts', and the Australian School of Traditional Thai Massage was instrumental in establishing renewed enthusiasm for TTM, both in Thailand and the West. Back Care Solutions was founded by Barbara Simon in 2004 to provide trainings in Dorn Spinal Therapy for health care practitioners around the country. Dorn Spinal Therapy is an alternative and very efficient treatment for back and neck problems from Germany where it is the #1 sought after treatment for those conditions. Barbara came to Australia from Germany, where she had trained and worked as a Dorn therapist, in January 2000 and realised that no one knew about Dorn Spinal Therapy here. After starting to work in a clinic in Avalon and receiving quite some media interest she realised that she would reach many more back pain sufferers by training other health care practitioners so they could apply Dorn Spinal Therapy on their clients too. Barbara is an excellent teacher and makes sure that every student becomes a confident Dorn practitioner. The training groups are kept small in order to provide maximum supersision for each student and Barbara always attends to all the questions asked regarding the learnings. The course is a !-weekend-training only with all hands on, no boring theory as it is much more important that you know what you do than knowing which bone connects to which muscle. And as a practitioner of some sort you have that type of knowledge anyway even though it is not a prerequisite for the course.
Today there are over 300 Dorn practitioners around the country getting marvelous results and the treatment is growing in popularity - with health care practitioners and clients.
